I have been celebrating Eid in the UAE for 3 years now and it’s always awesome! 
We don’t know the exact date until the moon sighters committee sees the new moon. If they see it, Eid is the next day, if not we fast for one more day. The UAE government announces it on TV, news websites and official portals.
On Eid day, I wake up early, wear new clothes and go for the big prayer at the mosque. Then I call family, give Eidi (money gifts) to kids and eat lots of biryani and sweets . At night there are fireworks and malls have big discounts – it feels like a festival everywhere!
